4. The Stealth Black Hawk
The notorious $160 million stealth modification effort produced an almost invisible UH-60 Black Hawk. This classified project included infrared suppression technology, overhauled rotor systems greatly lowering noise levels, and radar-absorbing materials. The modified helicopter has a novel tail rotor design, angular surfaces to reject radar signals, and specialised coating materials absorbing electromagnetic radiation. Advanced night vision equipment, terrain-following radar, and a powerful electronic warfare suite entered the cockpit.
