5. Weapons Integration and Combat Support

Although their main purposes are reconnaissance and support, advanced robotic dogs can have several weapon systems installed depending on need. These span more traditional weapons to non-lethal choices including sonic weapons and tear gas dispensers. Still, the focus still is on helping human operators instead of autonomous warfare. During longer missions, they can act as mobile supply bases carrying extra ammo, medical supplies, or specialised tools. Another level of tactical benefit comes from their capacity to provide cover fire or provide diversions while special forces teams negotiate.
