7. NASAMS III: The Network-Centric Solution

Multiple sensor inputs are used in the National Advanced Surface-to--Air Missile System III to build a complete air defence network. Using several kinds of missiles, this system may concurrently engage several threats, hence optimising cost and efficiency. Although its powerful fire control system can automatically choose the most suitable interceptor for every danger, its open architecture lets new sensors and weaponry be easily integrated. The scattered character of the system makes it somewhat resistant to attack and capability of efficiently defending big areas.
