Saint Bernard
Saint Bernards are beloved for their gentle and affectionate nature, but their enormous size can be a challenge for families with young children. Made famous by the 90s movie *Beethoven*, these dogs are playful and good-natured, but their bulk can inadvertently knock over small children during play. Additionally, Saint Bernards require significant space and regular grooming due to their thick coats. While they are excellent family dogs, their size and energy levels make them better suited for households with older children who can handle their exuberance.
