Afghan Hound
Afghan Hounds are elegant and graceful, but their independent nature and high energy levels make them a challenge for families with young children. Bred for hunting in rugged terrain, they have a strong prey drive and may not tolerate rough handling or excessive noise. Afghan Hounds require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy, and their long, flowing coats demand regular grooming. While they are affectionate with their families, their sensitivity and need for space make them better suited for households with older children or adults.
