10. The Immortal Gardens

The last myth relates about magnificent gardens formerly thriving around the thermal springs, nourished by the mineral-rich overflow. Grown in these gardens, plants were supposed to have amazing healing powers and never wither or die. Although the original gardens have long since vanished, the narrative holds that their soul lives on in the special environment around the travertine terraces. Botanical research has found numerous uncommon plant species suited for the unique mineral concentration of the spring water that grow nowhere else in the planet. These unique species lend a scientific dimension to this old story as they are still under research for their possible therapeutic qualities.
